What we found

Of 4,803 MSP websites scored on our current rubric, 53 publish pricing in any form — a per-seat rate, a package, a starting-from figure, anything numeric.

That is 1.1%. The common assumption is that most MSPs hide pricing; the reality is that essentially nobody publishes it.

Why it matters

Every buyer's first question is what this costs. An industry-wide refusal to answer means the qualification burden shifts entirely to a sales call, which suits the seller and nobody else.

It also means the 1.1% are doing something genuinely differentiated. In a market where a price is unobtainable without a meeting, publishing a starting figure is a positioning decision, not a discount.

What this number can't tell you

  • ·Website stats cover the 4,803 firms scored on the current rubric, not all 21,555 in scope.
  • ·Detection is page-based; a price disclosed only inside a gated proposal flow would not be counted.

What to do about it

  • A starting-from figure with a clear scope statement costs nothing and filters out the buyers who were never going to close.
  • If you will not publish a number, publish the variables that determine it — seat count, coverage window, response target.
