How to read this
This is not market share and must not be published as such. It is a count of what firms choose to name on a public page, across the subset of firms where our vendor detection has coverage.
What it does tell you is positioning: which alliances MSPs consider worth advertising to a small-business buyer. On that reading, the Microsoft ecosystem is the default vocabulary of the industry and everything else is a qualifier.
What this number can't tell you
- ·Vendor detection covers only about 36% of in-scope firms and is keyword-based, so these are floors on visible mentions rather than counts of deployments.
- ·Do not publish or quote these figures as vendor market share.
What to do about it
- ▸If you hold a partner tier, name it and its level — an unqualified vendor logo is the weakest version of this signal.
- ▸Naming a second-ecosystem competency (AWS, Google) is genuinely differentiating in a market this Microsoft-weighted.
